Amazing teacher!! Go to class and take notes (he doesn't go fast so it'll be easy to write everything important). No need for textbook because he's so clear in class. Study from your notes and it's an easy A. Enjoyable class as well.

Fundamentals of animal behaviour was the BEST class i have ever taken. Yes, it's at 8:45am but totally worth it. Dr. Jans explains so well that if you take really great notes in class and skim the text book, you'll understand everything. His impression of a preying mantis made my life. Super Funny, really interesting class, you HAVE to take it.

I did not know what to expect from an Animal Behaviour class, but I LOVE taking Dr. Jans' class. He is clear, funny and knows his stuff. Despite the class being at 8 in the a.m., I look forward to going to class, and am never bored. Exams are fair- no surprises, but you have to do the readings. Overall he is fantastic- and his videos are hilarious.

He is one of the most amazing professors I've ever met!! His explanation was so clear I understood everything what he said. Although his exams are required a lot of reading, three of them are not extremely hard. I really enjoyed attending his class. If you want to find entertainment in studying, I highly recommend you taking his class!!

AMAZING teacher. Really cheesy jokes but they keep people awake for a three hr class... Very approachable and extremely interesting. Great anecdotes! Read the book, use the study guide because the exams aren't easy, at all! A quiz every Wednesday worth 2%. Don't miss classes, you WILL fall behind. Overall, great teacher! :)

Amazing Teacher! If anyone has the chance I really recommend taking him. He enjoys what he teaches & is very enthusiastic! Tests are fair - although his short answers are impossible to get more than 90% on. All & all, a great teacher!
