One of the funniest and most interesting professors I've had! The exams are superrrr detail heavy but it helped me to write everything out into my notes.. like literally everything and review that. And then, study the quizlets a bunch. The class is stressful, yet doable. I wouldn't have wanted any other professor for this class!

He is relentless when it comes to pharmacology. The tests are the hardest exams you will ever take. No le-way on grading and no giving hints on what will be on the 100 question long test about drug names, MOAs, Uses, and ADRs :( There are 3 tests that cover a huge amount of material that is not humanly possible to memorize everything, plus a final.

All aspiring health professionals will benefit from this class. It's rather tedious, but the information is very interesting and applicable. Dr. Karboksi is an amazing lecturer (despite his highly inflated ego). If you stay on top of the material, re-listen to the lecture recordings, and study the Quizlet cards, the tests shouldn't be too terrible.

In my 140 credits, this is one of 2 best professors I've ever had. Every quality you want to have in an amazing professor - he has it. As brutal as his class was, I wouldn't have taken it with anyone else.

He's tough but he's fair. If you study at least 10ish hours per week and maybe 2 or times as many hours for exams, and familiarize yourself with the lecture before going to class, you'll be golden!

By far my favorite professor so far. It is a lot of work for an ugs. Since it's a writing flag, we had 10 essays (one research paper), 4 presentations, and two debates. So it is a lot of work, but as long as you show some improvement you should get an A. He teaches about pharmacy, but no tests or quizzes or anything. I enjoyed having him very much!

If you are looking for an easy UGS this isn't the one for you. There is an assignment (presentation, paper) due just about every single class. That being said, still take it to have Karboski. He is very interactive and makes class fun and interesting. Also, he never makes you read lengthy books like many other UGS classes.

The class was very challenging, but if you study you can get a high B or A. It's best to come to class everyday, do the study guide, use the drug quizlet that he makes for the test. You cannot study last minute for this class or you'll fail. He doesn't have office hours and our TA wasn't helpful, so it's best to have a study group.

The simple "first-year signature course" had the heaviest workload of any of my classes. However, each assignment was extremely easy. He is very understanding and willing to help you with whatever you need, and really tries to get to know you. He pretty much focused on his other classes, though, leaving our grades a mystery for the entire semester.

Dr. Karboski is a great professor for UGS. His UGS may not be the most exciting, but he is very knowledgable and makes the lectures interesting. He provides useful feedback and advice, and the assignments are not hard.

Hands down most useful and interesting course I've taken so far. He's funny & entertaining, I really enjoyed lecture. If you want even a sliver of a chance at an A, you better know every detail for every drug, DONT EVER think "oh im sure he wont be that specific" HE WILL BE. DO NOT SKIP CLASS iclickers will make or break you. Tip: make drug charts

This professor is hard, he expects you to know evey little detail on exam. You have to figure out what drugs do, instead of memorizing.

I liked the professor but the amount of straight memorization required for this class is ridiculous. I went into his class with a 3.89 and came out with a 3.68. This is the only time I've ever had a C. Know EVERYTHING for each test. Start studying from the first day if you want a chance at an A.

Best way to learn material is w/flash cards. I did not figure this out until the last exam, and when I saw what a difference it made I wished I had started earlier. K. is funny in class, but his tests are hard. You have to memorize EVERYTHING. Doesn't give you back your tests, but has sessions for students to see what they missed and ask questions

Pro: Funny and lectures on BB (except guest lectures) Con: Don't bother with note cards if you're gonna try to memorize the entire lecture. Use the study guide he provides. Form study groups to test each other b/c no matter what you may think you know, you gotta be 200% sure or you'll second-guess yourself.

GREAT professor. He really makes this class interesting. He is funny and very knowledgeable. We never used a textbook. Exams were a little tough after the first one, but nothing you can't handle if you actually study. NOTE CARDS!

Karboski makes pharmacy as funny as possible. Good professor but hard content. Lecture audios are available on BB so you can skip class if necessary. Must study everyday to get an A.
