This class was really hard! It was not the teachers fault. Ziegler will meet you in her office at your convienience shell even come in on her day off. She comes across as a *****, but she really is not. I was failing the course right up till drop day, and she encouraged me to stay in their and keep going to the ELC and I endeed up gettinga B.

She is not the nicest lady. She will try to put students down on PURPOSE! She thinks she is the smartest math teacher in the Math department. Notes don't help that much. You teach yourself! I barely pulled of an A.

I did not care for this professor at all. Her lectures seem to be thorough and helpful, but when you get to the modules it's like you have never even seen the stuff before. I got a 79 and she would not give me a B, although I took advantage of all(she didn't give much) the extra credit, had good attendance, and went to all my drills.

I agree, lecture seems rediculously simple and she explains the most rediculous things (see her quotes that I wrote down), but then the material ends up being harder. The math is easy, but presentation and method are unique and make it unnecessarily difficult. take a crossword or don't go to class, just study the book and start your modules early

Comment:

Finite is a course that you teach yourself. Basically the class time is just extra practice and can possibly show you some things you will need to know for your module homework. My advice is to get your module done and write down questions you can't get right and go to the lab...that is where the help is. Also, MEMORIZE THE MODULE!!

Her lectures seem simple and she explains every detail down to 2 + 3 = 5, but they aren't helpful. I felt like I was back in the 3rd grade, but was surprised when it came to the problems. I was better off skipping and figuring everything out on my own. I even had to correct an erroneous test question so I wonder about the validity of the hw/tests

Let me tell you this. My total average in the class was 79.2, that's mean a C, she refused to pull me up to a B. (****) I've attended all the classes lectures, and did all the work, but unfortunatlly she said I can't pull you up to a B, DAMN I'm like .4% from a B. Anyway, try to avoid her

She really is a good person who cares about her students. The class is very hard, but that doesn't make the teacher evil. I hate math and I hate modular math even more, but that doesn't make me hate the teacher.

Worst teach ever. She thinks that she is helpful and will tell you to "come to her office" to ask any questions that you may have. Thats great, but then she'll belittle you and make you feel like a failure at life for not already knowing the course material at hand. By all means, take finite, but drop her class like it's hot(plus, it's modular)!

I've sat her pondering something positive to say about her/the class....I GOT NOTHIN'...Seriously avoid her if at all possible. She's extremely rude (i.e.-"Let me wait for you guys to get your calculators out since you aren't smart enough to do simple division in your head.) Not exactly a nice lady...

Everyone in here is very hard on Ziegler. She is actually quite nice, but the problem is that she thinks the material is so easy that everyone else should. So she goes really slow, and tries to hard to explain material. Then she hurries through the hard stuff, with no time. She does condescend a lot though. And Wayne is a TERRIBLE programmer.

This is one of the worst teacher I've ever had. I hate her cocky remarks, she doesnt know what shes talking about and she is soo unclear. She cant even answer questions you might have. She assumes you know everything. She is by far one of the rudest teachers I've ever had. I dont reccomend you take her classes.

Mrs. Ziegler isn't a bad lady. The class sucks because it's finite. The computer systems are designed to make us fail. True Mrs. Ziegler writes the material, but it's freakin Wayne that writes these terrible programs for the computer. If I could, I'd like to punch Wayne right in the face.
