If you think this class will be easy, then you are mistaken. I have passed my senior courses with As with ease and I met this guy during summer course and I got a D. I was not aware of the specific guideline for file submission and he took 100 out of 200 in the very FIRST assignment and refused to regrade, which immediately took me to D.

Easy A. You watch lecture videos and have short quizzes based on them. You usually have 3 attempts to take them and the highest grade gets posted. This is a communications class so there are assignments that require 1-2 minute videos of yourself/ppt slides. You will also need to share your recordings with the class to receive comments.

Sometimes he leaves feedback with lot of aggression. The language that he uses in feedback is as if he is your father and telling u not to do such and such. He doesn't even proofread his own feedback that has lot of grammar mistakes

F12: Great professor. Answers emails ridiculously quickly. Uses self-written txtbk. LOTS of reading & writing (obviously). Avg. weekly course load: forum post and assignment based on readings. Assignment ex/ essay, make website, edit a Wiki article. Very helpful grade feedback. Offers to help you improve your work even if you got a good grade. 5/5

Took technical writing with Lipuma online. I would say that he may be an easy grader but there are multiple assignments every week. about 20 throughout the semester. but i think overall it is a useful class. i would recommend taking it.

If you follow his directions and exactly what hes looking for its an easy A! definitely a gpa booster. Also he teaches you things you thought you knew but actually turns out you didnt and makes you a much better writer! i even sent his videos to help others not from this school! Also he helps with your resume. Great professor overall!

Took the online class with Lipuma. It is really an easy A. This class will definitely help your GPA. Lipuma not only grades leniently, he exposes you to a lot of stuff in tech. writing. THERE IS A LOT OF WORK, but its all worth it. If he tell to correct something, DO IT. I got a 60 on one thing and then I corrected it and got 100...really easy A

I did get an A in this class but overall I believe it was a terrible experience. I had problems reading the feedback and postings on Moodle that he made. I really don't like that he uses his own book for the course as I believe it's a conflict of interest and shouldn't be allowed. Otherwise if you can get past all that, the class wasn't too bad.

Lipuma's class is one of those you will remember long after you graduate. His is an outstanding teacher. He requires a good deal of work, but he is incredibly helpful. Grades are not so much a judgement as they are feedback to improve the assignment. Revisions are always possible, and he a funny dude too.

Great teacher, you'll learn a lot. Get the meaning of E.S.C.A.P.E. and M.I.M.E, down and underrstand it completely and you'll do well. If he suggests you redo a paper, do it, it's easy and he up your grade. If you don't want to work and learn take someone else, there are other teachers that give less work.

A looooooot of work. If you really really like to write papers, take him; you are going to have a very happy semester. Also, he gives so much information for each assigment that at the end you are more confused than when you started it. Very flexible with deadlines and willing to help. I wouldn't take him again.

I must disagree with the comments above. I had him for ENG352 and he pretty much spelt everything out for you. He told you exactly what he wanted step by step. very easy grader and very easy teacher to understand and get along with. He was very good with responding back to emails and he gave you more than enough time to get your work done.
