The logical extension of the Harry Wilkinson days. You always knew where you stood with him and exactly what to do. Tried his best to rightfully weed out the dead weight. If you were a jerk, you got your come-uppance. Good old-school teacher. Hope he's enjoying his bird-watching in his retirement.

Ahhhh, Dr. McVoy. Laughing at those who could not sing in tune. And the funny thing is, now many years later, those he laughed at are the conductors of out of tune bands, sing with the CD general music teachers, and piano chained rifle out parts choir directors. He was onto something, and tried to weed out those who should not have been.

If you enjoy sarcastic derision, and endless feeling of failure and self-loathing from never having ear-training or sight-singing before; this is the prof to take. He said I wouldn't be a music teacher. I won scholarships, and got a great job! FUJM!

Dr. McVoy is a very intelligent man but a horrible teacher. He doesn't teach aurals, he just plays intervals over and over. If you have perfect pitch, then fine, take his class......it will be an easy A. But I don't recommend him.
