Class is very interesting as are discussions. Grading is unfair, tests too detailed. I read every chapter twice and still got bad grade on the first and last test. The middle test can bring your grade up a bit. Lots of reading that really didn't help on the objective tests.

such an amazing class, it was interesting & he was very interested in every subject, slightly crazy but fun. you just need to pay attention & listen. tests were kind of hard.people who may be worried of being offended, he sees greatness in every religion & you may learn something new about yours too

Preston is a man who's passionate about what he does and it makes him a better professor. He can sometimes be preachy, so if you're conservative and/or easily offended steer clear. But if you're not lazy and you are actually interested in learning about different cultures then the class's perfect.

He gives a lot of notes so when you miss a class it sucks! Don't miss a test because he hates that and will be rude and give you a hard time. He has some interesting theories and can be funny at times. He never goes over the reading and tests you on it, so it's good to take notes on it.

I love anthro and I hated this class!I absolutely dreaded going to class.He can be downright mean to students when they ask questions. Basically he thinks he knows everything about religion and only his opinion is correct, so don't bother challenging it.

Amazing course,he really knows his stuff but can be very hard and sometimes mean.The course it self is incredibly eye-opening.the long lectures can be boring at times,but at others the class is captivating.Take the course for the material covered,not him.
