Jim is a nice guy however my proble with the class is that most of the work is weekly multiple choice tests. If you're not good at multiple choice and memorization this is not the class for you. He does not offer extra credit, or creative homework assignments.Overall I found the class to be dry and boring.

Be prepared for A LOT of quizzes there were 11 or 12 in the 10 week term. They are all over the chapter which you were to read and 10 questions, they can be tricky sometimes. This means that the midterm and final don't have multiple choice though which is the best part. Jim is a great teacher who you can tell cares about his students.

More like a mentor to students than a professor. Really knowledgeable and lectures are pretty engaging and interesting. However, he is used to working with graduate students so it's hard to get an A. Work load is medium-light. Terborg is a great guy and helps you outside of class for recommendations or advice if you ask

Jim is a great teacher and his passion and enthusiasm for helping students clearly shows. Very hands-on and analytical type of teacher. Be prepared to participate, he calls on people randomly. His discussions are very engaging though, and I personally loved contributing during his class.

Be careful on his tests....he is used to teaching honor and graduate students! I had a really hard time even getting any points on his essay quizzes. Requires you to think outside of the box and I ended up studying for 5 or more hours before each test.

Teaching style of asking random people questions is very poor because not everyone can answer a question on the spot, but might be an otherwise very good student. He should respect all learning styles, not forcing people to learn according to his own way.
