One of the worst professors I have ever had at Trinity. His lectures are not organized, you have no idea what you are expected to write your term paper on, and his quizzes unless you memorize every word on the hw, or find answers, you wouldn't pass it. I dont know why I didnt look him up before I took his class.

Wen is a very intelligent professor, and those who cannot understand him due to his accent need to sit closer to the front of class. He's a good guy who is always in his office for office hours and he is quite funny in his pedagogical ways. Would take again, tests, quizzes easy. Ask questions, participate in class discussion you should be fine.

Wen is one of the WORST professors in the Economics department. No interest in teaching, strictly here to do research and publish papers. Lectures are very boring and largely uninformative. His accent makes it very difficult to pick up what he's saying.

Comment:
Awful teacher, his classes are extremely boring and you will not learn anything. He uses fill in the blanks for every assignment and it is directly out of the book. You will get a good grade with ease if you can find the answers to the homeworks and memorize every blank, word for word. Terrible teacher, listening in class is almost impossible.

Two words: completely useless. The guy should not be a teacher. I got thru his class ONLY thanks to the excellent textbook. His thick accent is tiring and boring to listen to. Constantly goes off topic and never gives good answers to students' questions. The class is relatively easy but you will not learn anything, only get frustrated.

One of the nicest professors at Trinity. Despite having no prior interest in Asian economies, I found the class interesting and learned a great deal. Minimal work and easy to do well in.

a case where kindness cannot make up for lousy teaching. wen comes from a hardship-filled background, and is immensely good-hearted a person. but his predominantly china-educated mind hinders his ability to teach in a stimulating or comprehensible way

Disorganized, unfocused, unclear, and frankly, extremely unintelligent. One of THE worst professors that I've ever had at Trinity. Puts topics on tests that he not only never touches on in class or in course material. A complete embarassement.

Wen's lectures tend to be boring and do not always stay on subject. He teaches some material incorrectly. It is possible to learn sound theory in his class, but it is possible to do know work and do well.
