I'm a very stressful person and the course-load was HUGE! However, Jan is very involved in the class and getting to know her students. She lets you take her books home even. Anything she can do to help, she will. She is a bit obsessed with Ashley Bryan and Patricia Polacco which gets a bit annoying but she is a caring professor.

Well I think I did more work in this class than I did in all of my classes over the past 4 years combined. But all of the 317 classes have a ton of work, and Jan is very very enthusiastic. She just loves children's literature, and this makes it a bit more bareable.

What an awesome teacher! She is very passionate about the subjects she teaches which makes her 3 hour lab go by quicker. You have to put in a lot of time and effort to pull off an A, but you can use that work for when you teach. I would have her again if I could!
