Comment:
Boring lectures that take the whole class and give you 20 minutes of content, but you need the specific activities from class to pass the quizzes that are a heavy portion of the grade. Only gives feedback on your papers if you ask for it. You won't like her at all but she's easy enough to pass.

She is clearly very knowledgeable about what she teaches but is a horrific professor. No blackboard site, no powerpoints. Couldn't be more unclear about her grading requirements. There is extra credit, but it is all based on events outside of class which no one has time for. Seems like she'd rather toot her own horn than help students learn.

Nice. Grading is on a term paper, an interview, journals, and open note quizes. Has not BB tab, all notes are in person wrote on the board. attendence not mandatory, but you'll miss whats on the quiz. Lets you pick how much each assingments worth. Paper is 10 pages, but only looks for APA style and # of pages. make journals and interview more pts.

If you listen to what she says and come to class you should have no problem getting a A in the class. She works with you, what you put into the class is what you will get out of the class. 5 quizzes all open book and open note, and you can google the answers if need be. Overall a great professor.

She's a nice person, and she's knowledgeable about the subject she teaches, but she's not a good professor. She's not good at explaining concepts to students, she doesn't explain her expectations clearly, and she's not helpful at all when questions are asked.

She's a nice woman and kind of helps you when you need it, but she's never specific with her expectations and refuses to make appointments with students who can't come to her office hours. The quizzes are open notes and your textbook is a must have b/c it's hard to follow along with her lectures. No powerpoint, no BB but lots of extra credit opps!

She is a horrible teacher. I would never take her again. She babbles all class about meaningless things. She will give quizzes and then not be there if you have questions, I asked the TA a question and she gave me the wrong answer, and I was penalized for it. She is old and anal and rude. She tells jokes all class but she isn't funny.

She allows the class to choose how much everything is worth. 6 quizzes. Gives practice study that everyone does together, each person then writes a research paper on. Then you do one on your own. The practice paper helps A LOT. So, that's a positive. Negative: She is very unclear on her expectations, does not use technology or BB. No power points.

Other reviews make her sound very tough but you get what you give. Her tests are all open note, and her readings are assigned on the syllabus. Good real world knowledge. She is old fashioned, no power points but she says what you need for the test. Got an A with effort. Don't procrastinate. She's open minded, experienced, and so sweet. A true gem.

2 long papers, divided into short parts to be completed through the semester. You decide your own grading scale as a class. Dr. Sinnott is helpful and kind- ask for help. It's research methods-expect yourself to do a lot of writing, but if you stick to her syllabus, you should be just fine. GET ALL PAPERS REVIEWED BY HER BEFORE SUBMITTING THEM IN.

Terrible professor. Lectures are so unorganized and she goes off on random personal stories. 5 quizzes, all open noteslaptops but difficult. 10 page paper, easy grader for that. Classes are not mandatory, but will help with quizzes. She uses no blackboard or powerpoints or anything. SO UNORGANIZED.

This professor does not care about her students. Plain and simple. She is very confusing and does not state clearly what she wants from her students. I was very disappointed. It seems like she cannot be bothered. Very boring lectures. I could not wait for the semester to be over!

She is a very sweet lady and pretty easy grader. Quizzes were open note and simple. No real need to pay attention if you have basic knowledge, the book, and when you do in class activities you participate. You decide grading system which i liked. Boring though (I played on my laptop and cell a lot). But all in all she is an okay professor.

Easy A! She allows the class to pick their own grading system and she gives up to 20 pts extra credit. All 5 tests were open bookopen note and there was one 10 page paper. She also had reflection pieces due but those werent due til the end of the semester. Attendance was not mandatory. I would definitely take again, as matter of fact I am.

Is a fair grader and class is not difficult. She talks a lot and it may seem like it doesn't matter, but it WILL, so take good notes. They will help you get an easy A. She is a really sweet professor and has a good sense of humor.

Very unclear with her directions. Class was extremely boring to the point where I dreaded going to it. She was not very helpful & even refused to speak with us when we showed up to her office hours because she was "too busy." Do not take her!!!!

Class wasn't interesting but was SUPER easy. 5 quizzes (ALL OPEN NOTE). Never studied and got B+ on all of them. 10 page paper, 13 journal entries and 2 interviews throughout the semester. Attendance wasn't mandatory. I barely ever went. Pretty much just listen to her talk. Take it for the EASY A!

Go into this class knowing an interesting topic you can use college students to study. You conduct an entire study yourself as the biggest part of your grade. Start your IRB asap. Get the text book, you use it on quizzes. She is such a sweet lady, just super old school.
