Comment:

Anyone that rates well hasn't taken his more difficult classes. Labs are mandatory, lectures won't teach you how to do assignments so being in contact with your TA is a must. Teaches interesting stuff but most material for his more difficult classes are only written by him and so finding other sources is extremely difficult.

I am going to echo the sentiments of a lot of my fellow students here and say he is extremely intelligent and efficient and knows the material inside and out. But he can only effectively reach a small subset of the class through his current teaching methods. And that is a shame. He could take a teaching class in a university renowned for it.

Extremely smart guy, very nice too, but learned nothing. Everything is on computers and he doesn't teach you any of the codes to solve questions. Lectures make no sense whatsoever. I would recommend not taking this course with him.

Smart professor I believe a different approach is better when he teaches.Which is students do the assignments first before showing up to the corresponding lecture, most students will find him way more useful then.I enjoyed his course and aced it

Extremely nice guy, but not a great teacher. He's very willing to help one-on-one and seems to want everyone to do well, but his lecture's a very scattered. He posts notes online that are somewhat ok, but does not stay on track in lecture. Looking up the information online made the class easier while his lectures made simple things very confusing.

Great Proff. First yrs know nothing about math anyway. Conveys the ideas well, and runs an open class, ask questions anytime, and he'll answer. You would be lucky to have him teach you! Got to love all the maple too... completely forgoten all but basic differentiation and integration because of it tho :P

This guy wasted my time and money. It was like watching someone explain mathematics in russian, translated to german and spit out in english. 1/8 of the class actually attended his lecture and if you were stupid enough to try to stick it out you failed. No Examples just overheads. Completely hor
