Lectures were extremely short. The amount of material that she actually went over was covered in about 20 mins with the rest of the time dedicated to life stories of her and everyone else in the room. Interesting? Sure. Am I learning? Not at all. Waste of time. Midterms were decent,but she seems really reluctant to answer questions outside of class

The class and prof are beyond boring - wouldn't recommend this course unless absolutely necessary. Honestly felt like I was back in high-school. Gingrich provides zero instruction and zero feedback for assignments, only to get frustrated when you ask for mark clarification.

Great prof. I don't understand the negative feedback. She's very friendly and willing to help, and completely unpretentious and ope-minded. This was my first Rhetoric course, and I'm actually seeking her out for the rest of my Rhetoric requirements. Lovely woman, great teacher.

This is the second time i had her as a prof. She's awesome! You will actually learn from her, which seems rare in my university experience. This class was very interesting and fun. You can use a cheat sheet for all tests so as long as you actually understand concepts, you're good!

Took this course online. It could've been anyone teaching. The modules were written and recorded by another prof (with the dullest voice), she almost never left messages on the course board, and seemed fairly rude when answering students' questions.

I am very keen on excellent professors. This professor has it all. She is clear, concise, kind, smart, knowledgeable, well rounded, understanding, focused, determined, and overall just wonderful. I would highly recommend taking a course with Nadine, I guarantee that you will love her.

I've had two classes with her, ENGL 101B (Intro to Rhetorics) and ENGL 292. I missed out on about 1/4 of the lectures, but did fairly well in her class. Her lectures usually involve in-class discussions which really help with understanding the course material, and I found that they were, for the most part, pretty straightforward. Fun classes.

Has a big ego and insists on being addressed as 'Dr.' by all her students. While most of the course is actually taught by TAs and not the professor, her lectures about what should be done in the course were bland, sarcastic and pointless. Overall, avoid this professor if you can. The course material is by no means difficult,but she'll make it so

one of the worst classes I've ever taken at UW in 3 years. The prof said she wanted participation but couldn't handle when students disagreed with her... not a good quality to have in a law class. textbook was useless and lectures were elementary, I felt like I was back in high school but paying hundreds of dollars for it.

I can't believe all the negative feedback about her I'm reading. She may not know much about law but she is an english professor. This class was fantastic. She analyzes how language is manipulated so much in law quite well. A useful class for one who wishes to practice law. The assignment guideleines could be clearer.

Unprepared, gave easy marks but didn't know what she was talking about. Very Rude. This prof was the most uneducated prof I have ever had, as a LS major I found MANY mistakes in her comments on the law. Won't give constructive criticism.when asked about a mark of 89% given the answer "english is an art not a science" - no way to improve.

Gingrich came to class to lecture on articles she admitted she hadn't even read! She also knows NOTHING about law, she didn't even know how many judges were on the SCC! She is a fairly easy marker, i got an 89, but having to listen to the ignorant uneducated comments about law wasn't worth it. She is by far the most uneducated prof i've had in3yr

Nadine had interesting lectures, but make sure you do the readings before you get to class. Got VERY annoyed if readings were not done. Offered extentions but then was not happy if you took them. Condescending towards students when you ask her questions. Takes attendance for participation marks so go to class.
