I'm disappointed with this class-it is not of the same academic caliber I expect of a CMU course.Unclear deadlines and expectations(final paper duedate was announced 4 days before it was due),classmates were very confused about writing prompts,and blatant favoritism.

Class is straightforward: daily readings, discussion, etc. Her grading criteria is a bit vague but everyone ends up getting the grade they expect to get. Bernstein is the most relatable English faculty here, and her class is the only one I looked forward to this semester. She's amazing and so is the class.

Extremely helpful and encouraging. Choice of reading material is sometimes iffy, but always prevalent to the topics being discussed. If you want to do well, go to her office hours.
