Jane is insensitive and should NOT be a teacher. She is highly intolerant of international students and expects them to speak perfect English and be perfectly accustomed to Canadian culture, yet she will lead an art tour to a country in which Im sure she doesnt speak the language of. I have no respect for Jane after witnessing her cruel behaviour

Gives barely enough time to complete any of the in-class work. Homework projects are extremely stressful and the instructions given does not make any sense. Only take this class if you are REALLY into art, and it's your Major.

Jane was a bit condescending, especially when confused about her Information- lacking instructions. Her assignments weren't very clear, and often if you did mess up, she made you feel 2 feet tall.

Thought she was fair and I learned quite a bit. She was willing to give help if needed too. I Wondered why she couldn't use digital pictures instead of slides that were terrible quality though. Also I heard from a lot of people the class was more interesting if taken from Justin.

I think that Jane is a really great instructor, probably my favorite in the Art department. She is firm but fair in her expectations. Some of the instructors I had didn't seem to offer much help or constructive feedback, but I never got that feeling from Jane. Bravo Jane!!

Isn't it nice when teachers pull you aside to ask if you have mental probelms? Sure, mental issues with a straight A highschool record. People go to school to learn NEW THINGS, or build talent. Not to feel crushed. Try working with students before critisizing them.

Well, what can i say, shes terrible. Scatter brained and completely negative in her 'helpful' comments. She always seems to choose favorites, and often the favorites are **** choices, meaning of course that if your male, your most likely gonna get roughly a C-. If students could fire teachers, she would be the first to burn.

Jane Cole is one of the most unbelievably ineffective teachers I've met. Not only is she rude (one time I said hi to her in the bathroom and she GRUNTED at me in return). She seems narrow-minded and bitter and doesn't encourage experimentation. Her own work I found boring, unadventurous and outdated. She's a good-lecturer though.

I was afraid of her due to her unfounded reputation. Her crtics are those who already know everything, so have no need to be in school as they are all accomplished artists(in their own minds)A tough marker who demands effort and attendance for a mark(shame).She moved my art making practice ahead.

You could write a book about what she didn't teach us. She polices the classroom, taking attendance, and that's basically all she's paid for because there was no lessons, we learned to mix paints...that's about it. She marks higher for people she likes.

Jane is an awesome prof, she takes her job & students very seriously. She does anything to help, including donating her own time & bringing goodies to class. She needs to stop responding to all negative crit about her- can't please em all!
