Super nice and intelligent! Just enough of a challenge to make it interesting. Lots of reading, but it's all really great stuff-doesn't leave much time to analyze text though. 2 essays, 4 response papers. Highly recommended teacher; her British accent is delightful!

First off, I am not majoring in AMST but in chem. You have to read a couple books, get quizzed on them, give one presentation, and write essays. Donovan is very kind when you speak to her and open to new ideas. This class was harder than I first imagined because of the essays, but if you work hard you can get an A.

It says in here that shes a english teacher but i had her for american studies 200 and she was absolutely great! of course you had to read the books but theres 3 papers all of which she grades very easy! our exam is take home and its not hard at all. i would definately recommend her for any class she teaches

Also 243B. Possibly my best prof. at UMBC and amazingly intelligent and well-rounded. As far as the hotness goes, yes she is gorgeous but that's not the point :) What a great teacher!

absolutely loved her class- she's very articulate and loves to hear what students have to say. young and really laid back. always welcomes students to office hours, and helps you improve your writing in class. hope she doesn't leave!
