Jane is a phenomenal prof. She's very kind and incredibly knowledgeable. Her tests are very challenging but come almost word from word out of her lecture slides, so just go to class. Jane is very willing to speak with students and always interested in what you're studying. She has students best interests at heart.

Jane is very nice and always willing to help if you put the effort in and ask however her tests are extremely hard. M/C seemed like it was pulled from out of no where.

I really enjoyed Jane's lectures, she taught Global Migration and clearly knew a lot about it. I found the readings were heavy and the tests were very hard. Tests asked about very specific answers or even numbers she may have only mentioned once in lecture or were mentioned once in a reading. A very interesting class but tough to get high marks in

I learned so much in this course and the class discussions were always lively and informative. The readings were heavy but totally rewarding. Prof. Helleiner is a really passionate lecturer, extremely helpful, even though a bit shy. I have recommended this course to all me friends.

One of the worst professors I have ever had. Reads off the slides which are completely unorganized, yet details tests which are far above the heads of many students. Arrogant and possibly the most boring personality. Please retire.

one of the worst professors in the department. thinks she is above her students and treats students differently even though class was on racism and she is supposed to be interested in 'social justice'. take the course only if someone else teaches like the new professor Terry this summer

when i looked at the calendar before i registered. I was hoping for this class to live up to its description. Sadly it did not. The course could have been improved and the prof needs to improve as well. If your goin gto use detail on tests, tell us to write them off the lecture in the first place.
