I'm taking major in STS and I would not recommend Jane Jenkins to anyone. She was the worst professor I have ever had at STU.

Seems like a nice lady, but I don't recommend her as a professor. Intellectually lazy in grading papers, with a rubric that rewards regurgitation and discourages analysis. Lectures are agonizingly slow, typically punctuated with questions directed to nobody followed by long periods of silence. Technology not much of a focus in her technology class.

I have taken 8 classes with Jenkins and would absolutely recommend her classes. You have to do your work, and do it well, but if you do, you will receive good grades from her. She's extremely interesting and knows her stuff.

I have taken 5 classes with her and loved everyone of them. She is hard but a fantastic teacher. She knows what she is talking about. I highly recommend her classes!

I personally found Dr Jenkins' STS class very interesting. Occasionally her lectures were essentially going over the readings, but I found she quite often made some very interesting points. I have no idea why people seem to think she's a hard marker, her class was easy as long as you did the readings and went to class.

Horrible Proff. Contradicts herself just about every class. Thought I was doing great, until I got my first mark back from her! 50% on my midterm which I was sure I would hit high 80's in. Not understanding in the slightest . Repeats herself so much it's laughable. Jenkins is a joke and I BEG you to not take any of her classes. Take whitehead.

So hard! I thought the class was so easy... until midterms! They looked easy, until we got our marks back! She seems to give clear direction, but then seems to want stuff that is only in her mind in our tests. Bad choice.

She marks very subjectively. Tells us to not repeat what she say's on test's, then tell us that what she say's is the perfect answer on a test. So contradictory.

She was my professor for STS 1003. The class is decent, but it was my second worse class of the semester. The work isn't hard, but I never got full marks. Maybe there is better science class. A lot of people dislike her, but whatever. She's decent.

bad prof. Don't argue with her, she contradicts herself and uses the excuse "I have a PhD, so of course I know what I'm talking about!" Not a lot of work, but extremely boring to listen to for 50 minutes... Unless you have a real big interest in this class, don't take it, you'll leave angry at her dumb statements and mean attitude.

This has to be the worst professor I have ever encountered. You are never right in her class because "she has the PhD and you don't." Other times, she is contradicting and takes the students' answers as her own. She is also completely repetitive so if you don't get it the first time don't worry, you'll hear it again. Don't take her classes...ever.

On the contrary to what some people are saying, I loved this woman and find her to be extremely interesting-She is obviously passionate about what she teaches, and is NOT that difficult of a marker. I am now taking my 3rd class with her and enjoying it all!

Ahhhhhh! Worst prof I've ever come in contact with. She is completely lost in her own world and she can't accept anyone's opinion but her own. She is an unfair marker and even tho she teaches a tech. class, she is completely clueless when it comes to modern technology. She contradicts herself a lot too which makes it hard to focus in her class.

There are definently some mixed comments here, negative ones towards her Latin class, and more postive regarding her STS class. I took a STS class from her and she is a phenomenal lecturer. Very inticing, and it is clear she is very passionate about the subject matter. My only 8:30am class worth getting up for!

Worst proffesor I have had so far. Jenkins was completely useless when it came to asking for help, she just repeats what she already said and looks at you like you are stupid, and loves to call someone out even if they aren't doing anything. She is very biased and won't admit that other people could be right, even when she is proven wrong.
