Previous rater is exaggerating. She is a nice prof. Does not mark papers too hard as long as you elaborate and make the correct connections between theory and book. Class average was B on almost everything. Tests were more notes than text but the textbook was more important. She knows her stuff; has intriguing stories and wants students to succeed.

The worst! This past year I received 6 As, 1 A+ and 1 B. I received the B in her Sociology of the Family class. I'm a soc major, have never gotten lower than an A in ANY soc class, and she accused me of plagiarizing my sociological book report that I put my blood sweat and tears into.

Had an excellent experience with Ursel. Very knowledgeable, gives clear explanations, is helpful and personable. Lots of readings, but tests/assignments are reasonable and fair. Definately would recommend.
