This class isn't difficult. Attending classes are not necessary but can be helpful for some exam questions that you will not find in the textbook. Read the book, that's where exam questions come from, then exams will be easy, power point slides not enough. Tough on presentation, but if put research and work into it and you will do good on it.

You'd think this would be an interesting class...but it was so boring. Prof Gould is very knowledgable but that isn't enough to keep my interest through class. At least he doesn't punish people for skipping. Read the text and you won't have to go to any classes. He takes presentation seriously though and is a hard marker but he curves up for exams.

Incredibly intelligent man, but an average prof. Classes are incredibly boring, notes are too vague, exams are ridiculously difficult and focus on specific, yet unimportant, facts, definitions and assumptions. But, he grades ridiculously easy and gave me marks for blatantly incorrect answers for the long answer section of the midterm.

Excellent prof, a little dull at times but his knowledge and use of humour more than makes up for it. Creates an easy to learn in environment. Prof. Gould is one of the great assets of our faculty.
