Comment:

One of the best professors at Kettering. Has both a mastery of the subject and a great ability to teach the material. There are no tricks or surprises during quizzes/exams. Has a great personality and genuinely enjoys teaching. She gives real world examples of when the material is applicable. 10/10 would take again.

Comment:

Prof. Fornari has been one of my favorite professors at Kettering. She has an excellent understanding of both the subject matter and how to communicate it to her students. She offered a fair amount of extra credit and is always willing to go the extra mile to help make sure that her students are successful. Not an "easy" prof, but a good one.

Fornari is a fantastic teacher! Her class is structured with at least one quiz per week, which prepare you for the midterm and final. The midterm is easy, so get a 100% on it because the final is hard! Lab is heavily Matlab and Simulink based and is rather confusing. This is a fairly easy class overall because Fornari prepares you for everything.

Class was easy overall. She does quizzes every class or other. It's good though as they keep you on track plus she has EC on most of the quizzes. The lab is helpful also. Pay attention, take notes and your good!!

Lab work was fair and the lab guidelines were straight forward. The lab reports were due soon after the lab ended and tended to involve a good amount of hours of work as well as many pages. She is helpful when asking questions for help, but sometimes unclear.

Best prof I've had at kettering hands down. Took DS1 with Barak and struggled, didn't feel comfortable moving to DS2 so I took it again with Fornari. Made me understand and enjoy DS1. If only she taught DS2 more often!

Amazing professor. Easy to get help outside of class. Pushed you hard during the hole term so the midterm/final are easy. don't buy baraks book, its a waste. take really good notes, they are worth 100 times their weight in gold.

Awesome professor, simple as that! She taught all of DS1 in the first few classes. Presented everything very clearly. If you have a chance, take her for whatever she's teaching. You'll learn a ton and do well if you put in a little effort. DS2 in her class was nothing at all like the horror stories you hear about it with other profs!

Great Prof! Would recommend for ANY class she teaches. She really takes the time to thoroughly explain the material, and is very helpful if you get stuck. Kettering is lucky to have her as a faculty member!

Fornari was made to teach DS I and DS II. I had fear about DS I, but she made me like the course. She's a GREAT prof and would highly recommend to take her for ANY classes you could possibly take her for. KU needs to do everything in their power to keep her around because she's a prof who enjoys teaching and can convey her materials well.

Great professor. Goes through concepts and examples very clearly in class and has you work on problems in groups. She gave quizzes at least once a week, but they usually had extra credit on them which really helps your overall grade. Tests were very similar to homework and quizzes which made them really strait forward.

Good prof. Tests are straight forward (sometimes she throws in an odd angle), and the final was easy. However, she gave lots of quizzes, she was absent 4 times, and she started moving fast at the end. If you show up to class and do a few practice problems for homework, you'll do fine.

She is a great teacher. She has really world experience from working at GM and does a good job of conveying the information to the students. She is interested in the material and she cares about the students. Imagine that, a prof that actually cares. I am definitely taking her for DS2.

Now this is a Kettering professor with actual teaching skills. She is easily understood and has a knack for being able to explain complicated concepts so that the whole class can understand. She grades extremely fair and in the end you learn a lot! Definitely the prof of choice for just about every class she teaches. Wish I'd had her for dynamics.
