This artist challenged me to go farther than i thought i could go. I didn't agree with here at all on many issues; however, it is this kind of person and environment that often leads an artist to transcend there limitations and move to realms of learning not yet understood.

Prof Cooling is world class. Had to work my ##xx off but man did I learn, and my confidence was 100% better by end of class. Not easy at all. But nothing good ever comes cheap!

Her artwork is cool. Reading art reviews for homework. Laidback atmosphere. She pushes you to paint. No improvement from art 204. No technique pointers or any real help the entire semester, just general statements during critique that did not help. I did not click with her. She's not for everyone.

Janet is a very talented, very generous instructor. I didn't do as well as I'd have liked, but my skills improved a lot just the same. She's totally down to earth with a relaxed classroom style. You will be glad to have studied with such an excellent instructor after taking her class.

Intimidating at first, but gives good feedback as you're drawing. Really knows the material. Homework is given out of a book instead of by observation, but other than that OK. Surprisingly laid back, good teacher, would definitely reccomend.
