Class is insanely boring. The material is dull and Prof. Johnson is not very engaging. Luckily, attendance isn't required and the class itself isn't hard. The two exams are each essay exams, but she gives out a list of potential questions a couple weeks beforehand. Just use the textbooks and online notes to prepare answers, and you'll be fine.

Her lectures are boring and useless. The simulation is about doing local government council meetings and was alright. If you don't use the study guide the tests seem to come out of nowhere but if you use it you'll get an A. Disorganized and gets distracted very easy.

ridiculously boring and dry lectures. however, she doesnt take attendance, and for the midterm she gives you a study guide that you can get an A on without ever going to class. dont buy the books, completely pointless. if you have any knowledge whatsoever of ANYTHING about the env., youll be fine. but it is horrendously boring

Dr. Johnson is very intelligent. The only thing is shes not the most organized person. She gives a study guide with the test questions before the tests. There's no final which is nice.The simulation is actually really interesting. Not my favorite POSC prof, but not bad.

I didn't attend class much and ended up with an A-. Class was pretty easy, just read the book and you'll do fine on the test. Her lectures are extremely boring, so it's probably not worth your while going to class to sleep through it. I took her for more than one class and all of them were just as boring. This one was the easiest by far.

Professor Johnson is a terrible professor. This was honestly the most boring class I have taken yet. She is consistently late to class and always keeps us after class is over. She takes so long to hand back any graded work, and says she will give us study guides or at least some idea of what is on the final, but doesnt! AVOID HER!

She is one of the most boring people I have ever had the misfortune to meet, and her teaching style is to stutter a bit, act condescending when students don't know the answer to a question asked about material we haven't gone over, and then go over the same useless material time and time again.

The THREE short quizzes we took were worth more than the final. In addtion she stayed in the room during evals after I asked her to leave. She is consistantly unprofessional. she be littles opinions in a PUBLIC POLICY class. She is honestly the worst teacher I've had.

This professor cannot work a computer or clickers. spent half the time figuring it out. most boring and annoying class in the world. I barely went and got an A. Its easy if you pay attention and do the work. However she is not the most tech savvy person and is very flighty in her lectures. hard to follow.

I've taken numerous classes from Prof. Johnson. She is sometimes hard to understand, but that's usually only because her discussions are lengthy and it's difficult to follow them to their completion. She is very helpful when you have a question, and she always tried to keep the class interesting despite the sometimes boring subject matter.

I really hated this class, but I'm pretty sure i would have no matter who taught it. The material is confusing and i had no idea what i was doing for the vast majority of the time. However, she is really helpful during office hours and even though i got Bs on almost all the assignments, i ended up with an A in the class. She's not that bad.
