Really tough grader, gives no feedback, reads straight from power point, and expects you to know every detail in the history of feminism.

Two tests; midterm & final... SO MANY reading assignments every week for homework (must read to participate and pass) Just do the readings and study for the tests, you'll pass... Easy grader on papers!

Do NOT take this professor. The class was easy and should've been enjoyable, but her grading is ridiculous-She gives little to no direction or grading criteria, making it practically impossible to know what she wants or what you should change for your next assignment. Took points off for no reason. She was extremely aggravating to be a student of.

I took her for American Revolution and it was pretty difficult. I ended the class with a B. The lectures are pretty boring but she is really nice. There is a ton of reading for this class. I did almost none of it and got a B but for others it could be different.

Dr. Lindman knows her stuff! She's funny and well help you if you ask her for it, but she's a tough grader. Don't expect to get an easy A, she knows when you BS something. Go to class, read, and get involved in the discussion and you'll be fine! Writing assignments are not too difficult, but work hard and you'll do great! I would take her again.

Do NOT take Professor Lindman if you aren't serious about history, because you'll just be wasting her time. She's an exceptional professor and runs a great class, but you will have to work for it. Don't take her if you plan on not doing the reading or writing the papers the night before. 3 shorts papers, a huge term paper, midterm and final.

Dr. Lindman gets a bad rap for some reason, but as long as you do what she expects of you, you'll get a decent grade. It helps to be a strong writer, but the work for her classes isn't much different than any other history upperlevels. She's very helpful if you take advantage of email/office hours. Do the readings, participate, and you'll do fine.

I have had her for multiple classes and she does not change her ways. She reads right off the powerpoints and waits for an answer, if you don't answer keep waiting. Toughest grader I had since I have been coming to Rowan. If you don't need to take her, don't then.

Dr. Lindman is very nice, but an extremely hard grader. It is very unlikely that you will get an A in her class, but it has happened so it's not impossible. She's fun at times, but strict when he comes to participation and grading. Never forget your book and always read. She has interesting classes, but if you can avoid taking her, do it.

Had her for Historical Methods. A lot of busy work before you actually started The Big Paper, which had to pertain to American history. Reasonable office hours if you needed any help. Graded my writing to the point of nitpicking, but it was a class of history majors, so that wasn't completely unfounded. Probably more fun in her upper levels.

I took her for Colonial North America and it was a lot of work but she was a fair grader and very helpful. She told the class she was teaching seminar 2 semesters later when I was planning on taking it so I signed up. She was very helpful when I was having trouble finding primary sources. And told me how to improve my seminar paper. Great teacher.

I took Dr. Lindman for Seminar and American Revolution class in the same semester. Her seminar class consisted of two class meetings and the rest were short individual meetings were she would discuss whatever assignment was assigned the week before. Lots of work, but it's Seminar so that's just how it is. Very helpful seminar professor.

Average Teacher. She has one 10-12 page paper and readings every night. She is a very very boring lecturer so be prepared to fall asleep. But she wants you to participate so make sure you have something to say. She is a very very nice lady and will always help. I had her twice and will take her again

I took Professor Lindman's class for Historical Methods. I highly recommend her class. Her class is not easy, but she is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. She incorporates more than just a final paper into your grade. She gets papers graded back to you quickly and my final grade was posted within a few days!

She helped me so much with my seminar research. It was easy opening up to her and sharing my writing ideas with her. Her critiques on my rough draft were very helpful for writing my final copy. She tells you exactly what she expects from you and is always very helpful if you are having a hard time finding sources. If you do the work you'll be fine!

She makes it impossible to get an A. Seriously, if you are not a History major don't take her! She talks a lot and her exams are tough! She doesn't give students a break at all. Returns assignments late. If you did something wrong, it would have been better if you would see the comment so you can improve the next time.

Very, very intelligent. Knows her subject area and how to teach. Historical Methods is going to be a hard class no matter who your teacher is, but Dr. Lindman always made sure that students had enough time for work and to meet with everyone. Excellent professor. Highly recommend.

Historical Methods is one of the hardest classes history majors take. But, Prof. Lindman was very clear in what was expected and was always available for help. Not exactly an easy A, or easy B, but if you show her your trying, she'll help you get a good grade. Take her.
