Im not sure what she is saying... like ever. It seems like she really isn't sure about what shes talking about either. I hate to give her a bad review, because she seems like she is a nice lady, but deffinitly not meant to be a professor. I benefit 100% more from sitting home for the hour and reading the book then going to the lecture.

Although Janice's classes did sometimes drag on, she did try her best most days to make them interesting. She always tried to crack a joke. She was very helpful and easy to talk to. A friend and I went to see her in her office to look over our exam and she seemed extremely happy we came. I greatly enjoyed the class and would recommend it to anyone.

This is a joke class. Barely past it and all of my other marks are 80s. Terrible marker. She seems nice but it is painful to sit through a whole class listening to her. It would have been an interesting class if another prof taught it.

If you can get past the initial boringness and not be distracted by her stutter or tendency to go off topic - you'll do great. Pleasant lady, tries hard to explain things, approachable. Very fair with her tests/exams and if you pay attention to her lectures, you'll find them quite easy. Would definitely take another one of her courses!

The good: approachable, easy tests, covers material well, very pleasant demeanor provided you pay attention & not get caught with your cellphone... The bad: her stuttering is very distracting, requires and takes attendance, classes are not very engaging (she talks A LOT), makes the material drier than it really is. Overall would not take her again.

The only issue is the stuttering,If you take notes and study them you pass. The trick is to know when it's important. She loves her subject and will forget the lesson to follow an idea though, thats when you can zone out for a few minutes and come back when she's done. I love her, she's a great prof and i regret that I'm not an Anthropology student

She sure knows her stuff, but... I don't think I have ever been so boored in my life... No power points, no overheads, no writing on the board, just her talking for an hour and 15 min straight. I would consider drinking heavily before walking in the door to ease the pain. If you have her, bring a pillow to class.

Shes boring, the classes seem like there going to take forever. I would have to agree with the studdering statement, it happens with every sentence she says! She does not write notes, she talks for the whole class. On a good note her tests are easy and attendance counts for quite abit of your mark. Shes ok....just BORING!!! ZZzzzZZZz

Classes are boaring but i'm only in an intro.Alot of the work was done in gr12soc.No papers. She dose tests not exams.Will take questions book/reading to see if you read them but most of the questions are from classes. Know names she gives you.Eassy marker and very reasonable. She gives marks for attendence and participation.

I loved her, I thought she was great. Yes, the lecturs can be boring at times, but her classes are very interesting. Encourages participation, and is extremely helpful, all you have to do is go see her. Take your anthropology courses from her!

I found that Janice kept the subject interesting and touched on all of the topics we suggested to her. She always wanted our input, she is definately interested in her students! I would take another course from her for sure!
