He gives three exams the whole yearand that is all your final grade consists of. Each exam is essay format but he gives you the questions ahead of time. Everything you need to know is in the book! I would only ever study/read the night before exams and did fine. He is extremely knowledge and keeps class topics relevant to today.

He is extremely hard to understand and is not shy to say he doesn't care about his students. He's a fairly easy grader, but you only get about 4 grades in total for the whole semester, which means one slip up and you're done.

I took American Politics with him. He is probably the worst professor on campus. He never stays on topic and is always talking about how he wrote about the subject in his book. He's always talking about that stupid book. Don't take this class!!!!!!!!!!!!

He's a really nice guy but the lectures are pretty confusing and the assignments and essay exams can definitely be a challenge. Because most of the class typically does so poorly he ends up curving everything significantly, so that's an added bonus in the end, but it's at the cost of being absolutely mystified for an hour three days a week.

This class is horrible. Everybody in the class is failing but he curves it so much to make himself look better that I have an average of high 50s in that class and he gave me a B. His tests are really hard and its all about the textbook. He expects everybody to know everything and laughs and says its all common sense. DONT TAKE HIS CLASS.

I had to take stats w/ him. He is difficult to understand so I utilized the learning center for all my hw. He looks to see if you took the correct steps in a problem & not just a right answer. He grades on a MAJOR curve. you do have to put some work into his class but nothing overwhelming. I would take another class w/ him due to the major curving.

He's a terrible public speaker, and doesn't know how to present information. He makes everything a lot more complicated than it needs to be, and barely talks about politics in his American POLITICS class! Avoid him at all costs!

I'm one of the few people who actually really like Jankowski. His classes make no sense and can be boring but either the ease of his tests or the curve make up for those things. My opinion is that he is TOO intelligent to be a professor. He is literally the smartest professor I've ever met and a really good guy.

This professor is awful. He is very mono tone, and gives the most boring and hard to understand lectures. He openly admits to drinking beers while grading tests, and he gave me an NA (not accepted) on my final paper because i had 3 incorrect citations. He is horrible, i would stay away at all costs.

does tend to mumble and randomly laugh but its funnt because hes a goof. Tests are hard yes but the curve he puts on them is ridiculous. He curves everything. Id recommend

Class was hard. Tests were difficult, but are skewed. You must study the book to get decent grades on the test, otherwise you won't do well. (Common knowledge.) He does tend to ramble on, but if you're interested in politics it is intruiging. You need to take GOOD notes. His essay exams, are based on the key details. Those exactly. Decent course.

Not a big fan of him or his class. He is a nice guy; however, you need to write everything down, because he tends to ramble on about random topics that are not even related to the criteria. Along with this, his tests are **Impossible**. He told the class he intentionally marks answers wrong to eliminate 100's. Choose wisely people. Horrid Teaching.

I don't know why everyone says bad things about Jankowski. I think he is a really good teacher. He makes class interesting and relevant. His tests are pretty easy as long as you go to class, take notes and study. I have learned so much from him. I recommend taking a class with him! He's great.

I needed an upper level polisci class to graduate and had never had Jankowski before. I really wish it had stayed that way. He assigned articles of economic jargon, lectures were pointless as he rambled off what was on the power point moving way too quickly to actually get decent notes. Tests were ridiculous.. one of the worst classes I've taken

Many of these reviews are accurate, Jankowski is difficult to understand, a tough grader, and gives very tough essay exams. The only way you will receive an A in his class is to come to class and truly try to understand the concepts discussed in the lectures. Generally if he continually mentions a term or concept, it will show up on the exam.

I'll sum up his ability with this story. He had us write a research paper of our choice for class. I had already wrote a research paper for another class and got a 98 on it and the teacher wrote a paragraph explaining my grade. I handed the same exact paper to jankowski and got a C. He did not explain my grade and couldn't care less. He's awful.

Absolute worst professor I've ever had. Talk about beer, and things not relevant to the class at all. Even when I did attend his class, I learned nothing. His tests are just essays which are impossible because you learn nothing he "teaches."
