She is a smart woman and very knowledgeable in the field of music therapy but has trouble communicating that knowledge with students. The classes are more "do this on your own and present" rather than her teaching. Doesn't always respond to emails/questions.

Gives fav students who fail to show up to class & do assignments an A & non-favs nothing but criticism & public humiliation. Duplicated answers to an assignment was handed in once by a fav & non-fav: Fav got it back clean with an A, non-fav w/ red marks all over with a C. Never responds to emails, most difficult to get in contact w. UNPROFESSIONAL

Without a doubt the worst teacher I have ever had. Whenever you ask her a question she says, "uhh...I don't know." Her classes involve constant student presentations because she is not organized enough to develop coherent lesson plans. If she did her doctoral thesis on undergraduate eduction, like she said she did, she should go back and review it

One of the most unqualified teachers at Fredonia. Classes are unorganized, lectures are incoherent, questions are NEVER answered or encouraged, and biased favoritism is to be expected. Though Joni is an easy grader and is perceived as "cool," it is clear that she puts NO TIME at all into her class, and her apathy towards education is apparent.
