Comment:

Combs is easily the most uncaring, uninterested, mean, and confusing professor ive eer met. I had an a in his class and the last day of class changed my grade to an "f" because of what he called "technical difficulties." He encourages students to share their opinions then shuts them down and makes fun of them in the whole class.

Hard. Don't have a book b/c nothing he talks about has nething to do with geography. he told our whole class he was going to fail us all, and did. he didnt like us b/c we were all undecided and didnt know nething about geography. DO NOT TAKE HIM!

He is a good teacher if you enjoy learning about air pollution, credit card debt, antiques rather than geography. His tests were hard and you had to read the chapters to get some of the information. He is very dry and our class didnt find him funny and he hated us. He is big on no cell phones in class too and takes 10 pts off your test if caught

you have to go to class to do well. just listen in class and you don't have to bust your butt studying the night before. his notes maybe confusing but if you listen, they make sense. hes a really interesting teacher. i actually enjoyed his class. alot.

I got an A in the class, i did my work and went to class. Its not so hard that its impossible you just have to apply yourself where it makes sence to apply yourself.. oh and he hillarious..I love the dry sense of humore, is a hottie for sure! I was really beginning to think we were meant to be!

Many people don't "get" Combs. And for those people who don't... I feel sorry for you. He's got a dry sense of humor, and people had better be able to back up their views. Take everything with a grain of salt. Combs Kicks Ass.

Mr. Combs was very interesting. All the tests came directly from the notes. They weren't easy but the class was very fun to be in. As long as you did all the other assignments you'll be fine. It's not an easy "A" class, but it's worth taking.

What a freak! I had to drop him because it would have ruined my 4.0. I'm a smart student, but because of his so called "notes" I could not come out with an A or even a B in any of his tests. He gives you lots of numbers and unrelated info. He degrades students for their opinions yet he wants class discussion. Yea, whatever!

his notes are sloppy, and its hard because that's all you have to study with. don't bother asking for help because he will just say "tough luck" He doesn't believe in vehicles or curving grades. and he enjoys embarrassing late students. don't buy the book. but he's a challenge

At first i did not see the need for this class but after a while you could not pay me to miss class even though it was the summer. Great class Great teacher, Great person!! I think he is in the wrong line of work. I would feel safer if he was in the white House!!!

I was unsure if I wanted to take this class or not but I am so glad that I did. Dr Combs is one of the greatest things ASU has going for it. I think I would recommend someone taking his class even if they went to another university. Not easy, but more than fair.

May be a better experience for people able to retain data fact like demography. I didn't find the class at all interesting or stimulating though I'd really wanted to take it. Not a bad guy, not a terribly difficult class, just a snore & not taught in a way that I retained much afterwards.
