The best, most caring, intelligent, and passionate professor at LMU. Prepare to be challenged. Don't take this if you want a free ride. If you don't like thinking and you text and don't care about anything, don't take this class. If you actually want to be an intelligent person, you'll be thankful to have Blystone in your life.

Get ready to think. Blystone will not spoon feed you. His ideations are constantly evolving. Last semester's ride is not the same as this semester's. Follow him beyond 100 level courses and do the work (and do the work), and you will find that he has activated the part of your brain governing direct access to the human spirit. #LifelongSkills

This man is the definition of pretentious. Never in my life have I encountered a more rude and inappropriate teacher who calls his students "pathetic" but then humiliates them when they participate. Only 1 assignment, depends on if he likes you. Prepare to hate him and dread going to class every week. Worst professorhuman I have met. Stay away.

I think it is interesting reading the comments as most complaints are from students in 100 level classes. Maybe just inexperienced/lazy students there on mommy and daddy's dime? He is a good professor if you go to class and actually put in some thought and effort on your own and contribute. The best classes have student participation.

People say they have a hard time understanding him, but the stories he tells are always intersecting with what philosophical concepts he was trying to talk about in the class. You should definitely take him and stick it out the whole way through. He's great!

Not really the best professor, but he is an interesting guy. Class was about Wittgenstein; about 15% of his lectures were somehow related to Wittgenstein; the other 85% was a collage of personal stories and vaguely defined philosophical concepts. Some of the ramblings were interesting; some of them were unimportant/irrelevant.

This guy was great up until the end of the semester, when he wrote borderline psychotic comments on everyone's papers blatantly calling them idiots. Avoid if you dont like being made to feel like sh*t

Very easy/entertaining most of the time. Some classes were a bit boring but it all comes together in the end. 1 page class summary of each class and final paper is only work. I would take him again.

This man is crazy. For anyone to just get up and leave their class and throw a hissy fit, then something is wrong with you. The class was easy, as you just wrote a final paper and a summary of each class sessions. I had no idea what we were learning, as he makes up his own theories, but if you write a good final paper you will be fine.
