well this has been an interesting semester (not sure whether good or bad), has high expectations for class work and homework done on your own. he definately has his favorites, which is seen in class. the more he likes you the more help he will offer. he also changes his mind constantly about an idea or project, a REALLY annoying characteristic.

This had to be one of the WORST teachers ive ever had in my life! He is extremely hard and very unfair. He expects you to know EVERYTHING when it comes to art and he is ridiculous about it. His assignments are very unclear and most of the time, impossible. I highly recommend that you dont take him, because you will regret it!!

ALWAYS ASK OTHER STUDNETS ABOUT A PROFESSOR BEFORE YOU TAKE THEM FOR A MAJOR DESIGN COURSE. He was unclear, a lil insane, and didn't any of the assignments easy. Asking him for help didn't really work either so it was all on you until the critique which was another horror story to be continued until the end

Furhman has mastered the art of motivating you to teach yourself. Dont be fooled by his simplicity. In fact, he is a calculated art machine. If he stutters, he does it so that you can pick up the slack. If hes' articulate, you done so little that hes's picking up yours. Enjoy and forgive the first few weeks, because tehy will be crucial eventually.

excellent. I heard the course was hard, but took it anyway. as long as you are not clueless when it comes to design he will love your work. he doesn't give you much direction, but you can learn a lot despite this. he is a fan of the sketchbook so be prepared. take him, take him, take him!
