This is the first time I have failed a class that I actually tried really hard in. I feel so pathetic admitting that but it was HARD! He graded this gen. ed. class like it was a 500-level course for history majors. Take him if you are planning to study history and write essays for the rest of your life, not if you're just trying to get a grade.

This teacher would be better off flipping burgers at a fast food joint. Took his online class...reading is BORING-tests...all multiple guess and toss the book out-better yet don't buy it! If you draw this guy-do yourself a HUGE favor and drop him and find a different professor!

I took his hist 124 online. Sorry to say this but he seems arrogant, and had a way to make me feel stupid when I e-mailed him to ask a question. Is very unclear at explaing and lastly, Good luck with the tests because they are pretty impossible. If it was not for the extra credit I would not have gotten a B.

His tests are easy because they just state the basic facts. He gives study guides for the test and five essays that which two of those will be on the test you have to answer one. Need the book for the test only cause half the mult. choice comes from book. Lectures are long but informative. Nice guy and good teacher

GREAT! Puts outline on overhead, then talks about it. TAKE NOTES! Tests are solely over his lecture and some from book. Funny and laid back, but doesn't look in eyes when lecturing, but above heads. Pretty effective and I recommend him!!!

This guy is a total tool. For teaching a survey class, he takes it way too seriously. He expects far too much from students in regard to grading essays and assignments. If you're taking a survey class, find another professor!!

Hester screwed me on some extra credit and cost me an A I worked real hard to get. If you have him and want to do the extra credit, GO OVER HIS REQUIREMENTS WITH HIM C A R E F U L L Y. Make sure you know that 2 years makes a BIG difference in the term "era" in Hester's mind.
