Comment:
While Jean Paul is somewhat good at explaining concepts, he can be a bit of a jerk when it comes to talking to him or getting tests remarked. I had to get my midterm remarked by him and only because the final answer was incorrect he gave those questions 0/10, even though the manual said i should have gotten 7/10. His lectures can be quite boring.

Dr. Pascal is a humble, down to earth and a great person. This course definitely has a confusing material. It is the nature of this course. He made the course interesting and easy to understand.

He's a very simple prof. Go to his lectures, do the hmk, and practice with old midterms and you'll definitely get an A. Idk why ppl in the class got such a bad mark on the midterm and final. The q's were literally from the hmk he assigns and the same format as the old midterm he gave us. Got an easy A. Just put in effort and don't slack off in hmk.

He does a really good job at teaching the course, as long as you go to the lectures and pay attention (he doesn't post lecture notes online so copy them down), you should be able to pass this course with your eyes closed.

His lectures are literally just examples (i.e go to class and write everything down). The assignments and tests are very fair and he marks quite leniently. He does little things to help you out (gives hints, answers, extra questions). Overall, very good prof would highly recommend.

Decent prof however the course is hard in terms of the material. The assignments are quite fair and do reflect what was taught. He has a weird of expressing things eg. "Kill this, this thing blows up". He's very helpful during his office hours and also the textbook is useless for this class, don't buy. If you practice & know ur stuff, you are ok.

He is an amasing person, but would not take this course with him! As all the material is brand new and quite complicated. He niether gives reviews nor good explanation, only def from the book and some examples. Assignment were beyond hard (if you are trying to figure it out without internet) but tests were quite easy.

A nice professor. Contrary to what some comments say about him, he is NOT a tough marker. His TA is a little bit more harsh than he is, but both gave marks pretty generously. Overall, I really enjoyed taking this class with him.

The class is tough but as long as you attend class and do ALL your homework then everything will be great. He seems awkward but he's actually very helpful and if you attend class you'll see his sense of humor shine through every now and then. Good luck!

Teaches at a slow pace but he would not ask a question on the exams/tests on topics that havent been covered in class. Lacks eye contact during office hours but still explains really well, and does not joke at all while he lectures. You need to be extremely patient while he teaches, but you are bound to understand everything that he has to explain.
