The previous poster is seriously unfair. JPD is the most inspiring professor I've ever had. Few academics have the interdiciplinary breadth/depth that make his courses so exciting. He blends literature with political science, anthropology, economics, even nanotechnology! He is my IDEAL intellectual. And.. he's handsome, which helps too :-)
