After taking his class at AR, even calc for physics at a 4 year college seemed like baby stuff. I had a C in his class PSEO, but felt like a B+ on the final was a great success. He takes math seriously, and loves it- if you work in his classes and ask questions you will know what you are doing.

I took math1200, calculus 1& 2 with him 7 years ago. He frightened the students at the first day, but made the students work hard at least for homework. He worked well for me since I was a procastinator but in his class I studied right away otherwise I knew I couldn't even pass the class. Very patient if he sees that students are trying to hard.

A very good teacher. Wants you to figure things out for yourself and gives very good hints to do so. His test reviews are excellent. they really help you get ready for a test. Highly recommend him as a teacher.

A great teacher...I barely passed calc. I and II, but he was able to teach me new ways of doing problems that no other teacher has before, which allowed me to get a high B, without even working hard.

On the last damn class, we were tested on concepts that I’ve never studied before. Stuff like summation notation, arithmetic and geometric sequences, binomial theorem, combinatorics, regular and distinguishable permutations, factorials, and probability. What a lovely surprise at the very end of the semester.

I totally disagree... He is NOT at all helpful unless you're a math prodigy. If you have a question in class that he thinks is stupid, he'll laugh and give you a smart ass answer.

His book is completely****ty, just read the reviews on Amazon, I can’t even sell it used for one-fourth of the cost I bought it for. I love how his book is going to be in its eleventh edition… I’m not sure if that’s because he’s money hungry or if it’s because it really needs that much revising.
