Comment:

Professor Hargrove is amazing. Highly recommend him because he teaches the subject at a personal level. I didn't do much, if any, of the homework but just took good notes on all the examples during the lectures. You'll get out early every time, just stay off your cell phone! Ask him about his stories for a good laugh.

Hargrove is the best professor I've ever had at Kettering! He stresses the important content & guides example problems with detailed drawings for explanation of concepts. Personal conversations show he really seems invested in helping students as long as they show a good effort in class. Has good advice about life & a career in engineering as well

Easily the best professor I have had at Kettering and I am in my 3rd year. Not a single professor I have had has cared more about the student than Hargrove did. He made it a point to make sure class material was understood. The 2 hour class hardly ever went longer than an hour and we covered everything needed. Has guided homework so you arent lost.

Hargrove is by far the best professor I've had at Kettering University. It may seem like it's just an easy A, but he actually cares about his students and their learning. Since he is an alumni, he understands the struggle. Best part: no proofs. Explanations, equations, and examples. If you need help AT ANY TIME just ask him.

You basically just have to show up and try and you'll get an A. No joke, he literally tells you that he only gives out 3 grades: A, C, or F, and 90% of students get an A. You really have to try to get a C or F. He's funny and makes the class a breeze. But don't worry you'll still learn. However, he doesn't know NX so he can't help you there.

Excellent teacher for this class. The guy knows engineering and is super helpful. Like to talk so be careful getting him started on things like patents. You are crazy if you take someone else for Mech-311. Wish he could teach more of my classes!

Very helpful! Makes himself available for questions all of the time. 99% of the time lets you out up to an hour early. That extra free time can be used to ask questions about the class. BUY AND KEEP THAT TEXTBOOK!!! You can use it in class and for your tests. It makes things much easier. Take this prof.

One of the most helpful professors I've ever had. Cut right to the chase and broke Heat Transfer down into very easy to understand concepts while giving real world example. We had zero quizzes and two tests due to some scheduling snafu, but the final was take home.

One of the best professors I've ever had. He tells you exactly what you need to know and what you do not. He breaks down Heat Transfer into material that is easy to digest. He has quizzes every even week which are open book, and then a final exam. The course is well structured and easy to succeed, while still learning something.

Great prof! Would highly recommend taking him for whatever class he's teaching. Usually only teaches 1 of the 2 hours and doesn't waste your time with useless information. Teaches you the basics very well. Only tests you on the basics, tells you exactly what to expect, and tests are open book. Definitely one of KU's best profs!

Hargrove made me want to learn Heat Transfer. He was extremely honest with students and taught exactly what we needed to know instead of focusing on useless information we would never use in the workplace. One of the best professors I've ever taken.

hargrove is awesome. put a little effort into the class and he will repay you with knowledge and a good grade. i didnt put any effort whatsoever in this class and i passed with a horrible grade, and i regret not trying cause it would've been nice to give an awesome professor like this something back for how well he teaches.
