Dr. Mounts is always willing to help his students, whether it's in office hours or in class. It is annoying, however, when he lets us out early the first couple classes after an exam, until its the day before the exam and we still haven't started a chapter on the exam.

He's a great guy says M'kay a lot so be aware that you will feel like your in an episode of South Park. His exams are fair but study the details, not just the big topics. He hints during class what the short answer questions will revolve so go to class. Pay attention to what he draws on the board that will be included in the short answer section.

Dr. Mounts is okay. The topic is very challenging but the student choosing to take Cognitive Psychology with Dr. Mounts could choose worse. Dr. Mounts is not the worse Cognitive Psychology professor at SUNY Geneseo.

Dr. Mounts is awesome. He's funny and his lectures are interesting. If you're confused, he will gladly answer questions (even if that does mean pushing back the test 2 weeks). His tests are fair but you have to study

Dr. Mounts is really nice but boring. He tries to be entertaining though. Lectures are him going over the powerpoint. The tests are predictable because he gives you the 5 possible essay questions before the test and lets the class vote one out, then one is chosen randomly as the test question on test day. Very fair. Can get extra credit.

3 tests and 2 5-6 page papers. Material is challenging but pretty interesting. There's a lot of memorization involved and you must take tests seriously to do well but with adequate preparation and his typical curve on exams, it is possible to do well. Explanations of material in class was helpful in comprehension. Don't really need to read book.

352 is a difficult class to begin with, but Dr. Mounts is there to help you every step of the way. He is always willing to go over papers with you and help you out with the stats you do in class. He made the class enjoyable. He is one of my favorite professors in the psych department, and I would definitely recommend taking 352 with him.

Dr. Mounts is a great professor. I think the most important thing to do is go to class. He works really hard to give examples and does many demonstrations. He is very knowledgeable in his field. He makes corny jokes that make the class even better. His exams are very doable. I read all of the textbook chapters in preparation. Take this class.

I didn't like Mounts at the beginning of the semester, but he definitely grew on me. I thought that tests were easy, except for the essays, which he always seemed to find points to take off for. He does go really fast and cover a ton of material, but it's pretty much common sense. Study the powerpoints and go over the textbook briefly and you'll be fine. Overall, I would recommend.

Prof Mounts is fantastic. You do need to go to class, but I just studied the notes without reading and did great. He always uses tons of examples and is willing to help you understand stuff or organize the paper. Not an easy class, but if you put in a little effort it's not hard to do well. Take a class with him!

I found the exams for this class very difficult to study for. So much material is crammed into 25 mc questions, 4 short answer and an essay. Thinks that because a few people do well on the exams that everybody should. Nice guy, fairly difficult class, probably because he switched to a textbook that he called more difficult.

I liked class with Mounts. Took cognitive psych with him and he was very straightforward. Powerpoints are clear and he gives tons of examples. Tests are relatively easy if you just study the powerpoints while you skim through the chapters. He's so funny, too. Mounts is always cracking jokes.

Dr. Mounts is a great guy, I loved Research Methods... he made a boring class fun. His exams are pretty straight forward and his papers weren't that hard. Reading the textbook and memorizing the studies he tells you to memorize really make the exams easier. I recommend Dr. Mounts and look forward to taking other classes with him.

Dr. Mounts is really funny, and a very nice guy. He talks really fast in class, so print out the powerpoint slides so you can write down his examples, which are often on the test. The tests aren't too bad, just study the powerpoints and use the textbook website (it has helpful review questions). Papers are easy. He's a good guy to take 251 with.

Talks very fast so print out the powerpoint slides before class! Makes sure students understand concepts before moving on. Gives plenty of examples to support/show theories/points. Tests can be difficulty- couple questions from the book that aren't talked about in class. Highly Recommended

Really interesting class. If you go to class, print out notes (he talks fast), and read textbook only if you need more clarity you'll be fine. He is always willing to help outside of class especially with the paper.

This class is one of the hardest I have ever taken, and Professor Mounts does NOTHING to help with that. He talks EXTREMELY fast, does not go over material well, and is useless with extra help. If you enjoy teaching yourself, then take this class. Otherwise, AVOID IT AT ALL COSTS!!!!

Going to his Research Methods class was one of the most painful things to do. I've heard he's better in other classes because the material isn't as boring... It's hard to pay attention after the first ten minutes of listening. Exams are very particular and even when you've studied for hours they never seem to get easier.

I absolutely hated research methods! I've heard Mounts is descent in other classes but I've got to tell you he was horrible here! I dreaded class, I learned next to nothing, and I really just wanted to scream when I had to sit there and listen to him sound like a babling idiot who didn't know what he was talking about. I definitely do not recomend!

I think this class is one of the hardest psyc classes. The materials are deep and Dr. Mounts goes so fast that you could hardly take any notes. But it is interesting once you understand the concepts. Plus, I did learn a lot from this class. Recommended!
