very unfair testing for a required course. Professor is very caring and well expected but the course is absolutely horrible and grading is so unfair. Final exam consisted of 4 questions, so if you don't know one of them you can't get better than 75%.

Professor Bell is one of the most caring professors I have had. He clearly enjoys teaching his students evolution. Don't be afraid to handwrite your notes, he doesn't test specific details. He tests general concepts that are covered in lecture, but it's good to know examples. His readings, which I recommend for background, are supplemental.

Generally a good professor. His accent formalizes him a lot and is quite a treat to listen to him. His material was fairly boring in this class, but he tried to diversify the applications and engage the class. Very lecture heavy- does not require readings or reference the textbook, but his notes are not bad. Sweet man but a little boring sometimes.

Awesome class. If you want to understand a single thing in biology, it has to be evolution. It is the fundament of the entire field. Bell has an incredible knowledge of it. Exams are the same year afer year: you have to understand evolution to answer it!
