Comment:

Probably one of the best professors I've ever had! He's always open to new ideas and challenges one's own potential. He is the reason I've pursued this degree, and I am now more courses that he teaches simply because he is teaching them, not so much for the material.

Comment:

Dr. Noonan is absolutely incredible at atriculating often difficult philosophical systems in such an easy and natural way. A truly natural lecturer. You can tell he reads philosophers with a unique depth of complexity. I defintley recomend for philosophy courses. It is difficult to get an A because it should be. But, it is not impossible.

Good luck getting an A in this class. He is a perfect example of real education; however, there was little I could do to obtain anything higher than a B. He is a little arrogant yet honest and brilliant. Do not make the mistake of going into the class expecting an A- go into the class expecting to learn and listen to his formidable mind.

Dr. Noonan is the best prof at this university. He is very helpful, and is absolutely passionate about what he does. Will help you out and is very approachable. Gets to know each student by name. If you have the opportunity to take a course with Jeff, do not hesitate! His writing is a little messy, but he will read it out to you if you ask.

I am a huge fan of Dr. Noonan's. He requires a lot from his students, but it's well worth the work to sit in on his impassioned, inspiring lectures. He designs his courses beautifully and carefully, and he structures his lectures in such a way that he provides room for students to participate and question. You will not regret taking his classes.

He is fair. The class is tough, but hey it's university and philosophy based. Go to class, ask for help and you'll do well. Noonan is interesting and knows what he is talking about. Classes are interesting, and very interactive and TA and Noonan are v. helpful! If you are interested in SJ it is a great class to take!

I wouldn't take his class again. His lectures are long and boring. No matter how hard you try you still get crap marks on the papers. No exams though (just essays, and a take home exam essay). Good luck....

Brilliant professor - passionate, inspiring speaker. My first university class out of high school and I thought - WOW! - this guy is amazing! Never had a teacher like that before. Sadly, all Profs are not like Dr Noonan.
