I love Dr. Oaks. When you first see him you'll be scared that this class will be the hardest thing ever. But once he gets into telling his goofy stories you'll love him. Make sure you go to him if you don't understand and he won't hesitate to help out.

Loved Oaks. He does go fast in class but if you ask him to chill out, he will. Just ask. Seriously. He does care. Homework is not collected but I suggest you do it. Figuring out the homework solidifies what you learned in class, is all and pass the tests. He's also pretty funny and can get off topic but it's great. 10/10 *HE DOES STUDY GUIDES!!!*

Your grade will consist of 4 tests and the final exam. He does not grade homework. Also, he is very fast; you should think twice before taking him. His tests are easy, or maybe it is just calculus. I personally think calculus is an easy class. It was designed to solve problems easier. He also, gives practice tests from the previous years.

Dr. Oaks is a really funny guy and it makes a less-than-enjoyable subject a little more fun. The homework in his class is optional, so if you don't intend on doing it then there is no point in buying the textbook. Also, if you buy the textbook, don't buy the access code because he doesn't use it. Overall, he's a great professor!

Best Prof ever! He's so funny and probably the smarted guy I have ever met. Does not follow the book so showing up to class is important. basically tells you what's going to be on the test.

One of the best professors I've ever had. Makes learning calculus bearable, as his stories are hilarious, and he just loves to talk. You don't have to show up, but he teaches a lot of stuff his own way so you really need the notes and examples from class. Sometimes you can get lost because he doesn't really follow a schedule or the textbook.

Oaks assigns homework every night but doesn't collect it. Really it's for your own benefit. He doesn't care if you go to class or not, but if you don't go you won't pass. That's just how math classes are, especially his because he doesn't even know what he's gonna teach until he gets to class that day. He's hilarious & gives lots of partial credit

Great guy, great professor. He is easy-going & wants everyone to pass his class. He often explains problems in many different ways to help students better understand. Make sure that you have honestly been placed into his math class before taking it because he goes fast, and you will be lost if you don't at least have an idea of what he's doing.

Professor is a very nice guy but let's be honest not a miracle worker. Calculus is hard if you show an interest in getting a good grade he will help you get there. Also, gives tons of partial credit. Paying attention in class and askin questions can help buy your grade in the end

He is a great professor and I will definitely be taking more of his classes. He doesn't care if you get the right answer in the end, he grades a problem by if you know how to do it. You don't miss an entire problem for making little mistakes. He is really helpful!
