I adore Dr. Prince! TEM is one of the U's hidden gems -- the skills you get from the course are invaluable and open up so many doors (research and otherwise) and the prof that leads it is no less wonderful. He's hilarious, devoted to the material, and loves his students (who put in the work, of course). Best course (and prof) I have ever taken!

Very funny person, not so great professor. Every lecture is based off of word of mouth and he has a tendency to forget things. Exams are designed to make you think and are very prone to psych yourself out. One exam everyone got C's and D's. Take another professor if you can.

TEM with Dr. Prince is one of the most remarkable classes the UM bio dept. has to offer. This class is a lot of work, and Prince sets high standards, but he's always willing to go the extra mile to help you reach them. He loves the scope, loves this class, and loves to train students and watch them succeed. Take this class if you possibly can!

I was extremely excited for the class but he is so preoccupied with his research that he does not invest enough time into making his class as good as it has the potential to be

Prince is an interesting guy and is very funny, but I was very disappointed with his class. He didn't care about the images you captured, only if you presented the images in the format he wanted. He didn't offer help when needed and told me various times to figure it out on my own. He didn't give constructive criticism on images, just gave grades

Dr. Prince is quite possibly one of the greatest assets the Department of Biology has. His knowledge is vast and his experience is unmatched. I highly recommend taking ANY class with him because there is so much to be learned from him. This man is wildly brilliant and hilarious. Work hard and he will respect you-it is worth it. Best professor at UM

He is one of the greatest science teachers at UM I have ever had. His tests are straight from his notes, which a class should be. He made a boring subject decent. I loved his lectures. He had a way of summing things up in a simple way. Organized. He goes from the simplest life forms to the most complicated. IF YOU CAN TAKE HIM FOR BIL 160 DO IT!

His lectures are disorganized, and you need to tape record and write out notes. His exams and quizzes are not easy and you have to know every little thing he says in detail. He is very friendly but i wouldn't recommend taking his class.

A great teacher doesn't deserve all 3's. His lectures are organized in a way one can go in an order from the start of life, to unicelluar organisms, to plants, to animals, to some ecology. I do not see that as disorganized. I really enjoyed his class and plan on taking his electron microscopy class.

One of the best science teachers I have ever had to UM. I absloutely loved the way he lectured. He has a way of summing up things with a simple statment and make his point understandable. If you are taking BIL 160, take it with him!
