Awesome at devils advocate. Extremely interesting class, loves and intimately knows his topic. Absolutely brilliant. Impartial with papers to the point he won't let you put your name off of the cover page. Also the hardest professor you'll ever take.

He tries to make your writing better. But he is such a hard grader that he just gives you what he thinks you deserve not based on the knowledge that you have. But his classes are the best that I have hands down always good discussion and friendly disagreements between students

Professor Sikkenga is the best teacher I've ever had at getting students to participate in class. Of all the teachers I've ever had, he is the one whose gotten the closest to actually applying the Socratic Method. You will learn a lot, so long as you can think for yourself.

I had him last semsester and am taking him this semester. HE IS AMAZING!!! His class is pretty much him against everyone and he kicks your ass no matter who's in the class. He's got a great sense of humor, he plays devil's advocate like no other, will help you anyway he can, and graids really fairly.

I have had Dr. Sikkenga every semester since I've been here and I LOVE IT! He is brilliant! I mean he must be a freakin genius! He is able to stimulate conversation(AKA arguments) better than any teacher I've had. He's also so nice...and now he's got a cute little Sikkenga too!!! :)

Such a great professor. He's also my academic advisor and I could not be more impressed. Stunningly smart. Definitely feeds on class participation and playing devil's advocate. Great classes, very challenging, especially the papers & tests. But take him at least once, he's a must.
