Honestly, great example of a college professor. Not a hard class at all, but you have to put in the work to get an A. Grade is made up of attendance (only calls attendance until first test), participation (3 $35 simulations), and exams (3 lecture based). The textbook is not at all necessary, but take detailed notes every class. Do not skip class.

Davis is very unique. I personally loved him. His lectures made me laugh and he was very no nonsense. He told it the way it was. You do pay for your grade through the simulations which a lot of people had a problem with, but with all the money I pay to go to SLU what is another $100 to pay for an A. I loved this class.

Davis is hilarious. But this class made me switch my major because it was that much of a joke. Whatever he says, don't buy the book; you will never open it. Go to the simulations to get a good grade, but you will pay out the butt for it. The tests are hard and he is very opinionated when in lectures. Not worth the time.

Professor is a joke to political science. Uses this class to profit off of college students. You will pay $105 for your grade in simulations, DO NOT BUY THE TEXTBOOK, all test material comes from lecture. Class has 3 tests and a participation grade based off of projects (10% each) and 5% on participation (He takes attendance until the first test).

I highly discourage you from taking this class. It's true you won't fail as long as you show up and do the simulations but if you get an A or a B is up in the air. The tests don't properly reflect the lecture material and are really tricky and confusing. If you are okay with not being taught anything and being handed a B, then go for it.

Davis is a great professor, I learned so much from him. He seems kind of scary and intimidating at first, but he's a wonderful teacher. You don't necessarily need the book; I used it, but it didn't make a huge difference. You definitely need to study for the tests, so take really good notes.

Davis is a great professor, his lectures are theatrical and infinitely entertaining. His tests are based off of his lectures and often contain questions about specific examples brought up in class. Instead of writing papers, you can choose to be graded on participation in an out of class simulation.

Absolutely awful. We never used the book. His tests were ridiculously hard. Basically there are simulations that everyone should do but you pretty much pay for your grade. DON'T TAKE HIM.

Davis is a great professor. He's interesting, funny, and definitely worth listening to. Class goes by so quickly with him! You don't need to read the book, but definitely take good notes. He gives you a study guide and also has simulations that can be used in place of a book report. I honestly wish he taught more courses. I'd take all of them.

2 book reports which can be replaced by simulations which are easy. 1 extra credit simulation. 3 tests. Doesn't use textbook, everything based off his lecture. Very liberal. He teaches things that are not true but as long as you know how he thinks you should do okay. Brainwashes people who don't know anything about politics prior to the class .

TEST ARE IMPOSSIBLE TO PASS! I would say take him because he is actually a nice person and rather comical. But you're grade is based off his test.... Which are impossible to study for! I'm in a class with about 35 people. And there are only 3 people passing so...Good guy though.
