Comment:

Told me I was too direct in my essays and that I should fluff them up to make them longer and less informational based - the opposite of what every professor actually wants. When I asked her about things, her responses included, "you should know what to do by this point. its too easy." the less effort i put into her class the better I did.

I don't think she is as bad as everyone says. She is definently a good professor and knows what she is talking about. She does grade pretty hard, but if you come to her for help or go to her office hours before your papers are due, she will help you fix things and give great advice! I wold highly suggest that.

Very difficult professor if you tickle her the wrong way. She is very difficult to get clear help from and on top of that is a ridiculously hard grader. I survived by getting help from other professors and english majors. If you get stuck with her like I did, then I suggest you do the same.

AWFUL! I dreaded going to this class, when I asked about my paper, which had one mark on it, I wanted to know how to improve my writing or what to change to get an A, I got the answer of you had the highest grade in the class you did a great job. I worked my butt off, harder than any other class and still got a B, 10+ hours every week needed

Could not believe this class. I hated the class, and she hated me. She gave everybody bad grades and treated us like 5th graders. I am not terrible at English but I didnt deserve a C or a D on papers I spent hours on. I altered my writing style 3 different times and she hated all of them. I dreaded going to the class, DONT TAKE HER EVER!

Graded EXTREMELY unfair, not helpful not much feedback, I felt like she made up a lot of petty excuses to give me low grades and couldn't back her reasons up legitimately. Didn't really learn much, dreaded going to her class. DON'T TAKE HER CLASS!

Not as bad as some of the other reviewers were saying. Definitely not my favorite though. Her grading on papers is wonky, and I maintained a B on every paper - same percentage. She doesn't really give any good criticism to build off of in her comments. She's nice, but pretty mediocre. Getting on her good side will help.

Knows what she's doing, but is hard to get above a C in that class. Not fair grading on papers. Takes off for the littlest things. Have to conform your writing to her likings whether it was how you learned it in high school or not. Doesn't give good praise as much as bad. You always can improve on your stuff, nothing is ever good enough for her.

I took ULLC 223- Political Cartoons with her. It seemed like an interesting topic but turned out to be the hardest course I've taken here. She is a very hard grader on essays and there is a lot of writing. I regret taking this class with her. She is willing to meet with you but she still grades tough. Get out now or best of luck.

She treats you like you are 5 years old. She is annoying and says the word OK 200 times a class, i counted. Incredibly boring class but easy.
