She is consistently late and expects students to have prior knowledge in history, even though this is an introductory course. She is extremely boring and her lectures feel like they're dragging on forever. Highly don't recommend taking this class unless you are genuinely interested in the topic.

Loved loved loved her class. Really nice woman who cares about her students. Lectures can be sort of dry, but interesting enough if you care enough to listen. Super lenient with extensions.

She is so sweet! Cares about her students and does the best she can to make accommodations when necessary. Her instructions are straightforward and her lectures are interesting! Make sure to participate in the seminar because those are easy A's as long as you do the reading! Overall, great prof.

Dr. Hubbard is an incredible professor you would be lucky to have her. She is approachable and considerate. In regards to the class itself some information is wrong but she does welcome corrections. The course is quite lecture heavy and crucial details are not listed in the posted slides so come to class, listen and ask questions if you want.

Awesome professor. By far my favourite from my first semester. She can be a little disorganized but she is extremely intelligent, very reasonable, interesting, friendly, and funny. Can't say enough good things about HIS106. Definitely would recommend the class if she's teaching it again. She makes good assignments that you'll actually learn from.

Plus side: Her lectures are worth listening to, gives good feedback on assignments, fair marker, and tests are not terribly difficult. Down side: Course outline contains too much useless info, textbook is poorly organized (no index and page numbers are all over the place)

The midterms are seemingly very easy, but she marks them very hard. DO NOT SKIP TUTORIALS. I did very well on tests and essays but missed 2 tutorials and came out with a C. Interesting topics, but it covers a lot and goes very fast. You can't afford to miss class with this one.

I really liked having her as a prof. I wasn't all too interested in the course itself so I was somewhat bored for the first half of the semester but eventually her passion and knowledge made me view the class in a different way. She definitely knows what she's talking about and can answer all your questions. Very wordly, I'd say.
