Professor is nice but knows nothing about the subject she is teaching. She regularly gives the impression that she is nervous and switches topics often when she runs out of a thought. Take this class if you want an easy A but your not going to be prepared for the field.

Professor Oetzel is hands down the best professor I've taken at AU. She is extremely knowledgeable and experienced and I've never learned so much from a class. Case studies are extremely applicable and good knowledge to know. Global and emerging markets is a must-take for International Business majors, best class in Kogod.

Her lecturing style gives the impression she is very nervous or unfamiliar with the subject matter in IBUS 300. She routinely ends class a few minutes early because she ran out of things to say, and when people ask question or give feedback she kind of just says "that's great!" and never helps. Final exam is optional.

She's really nice and very helpful! The course had 2 exams, 2 2-page case study essays, 5-page final paper. If you read the textbook before the exam and prepare for the all exam question she gives us beforehand - you are ok. Easy grader for essays!

Textbook is necessary for two of the homeworks but it's completely unnecessary for rest of the class. If you don't bring your computer to class it's a total waste of your time. I've spent the entire time in the class surfing the internet. All of her handouts are from the same Economist. Isn't hard but extremely disappointing since IBUS is my major.
