Comment:

Had her as a lab instructor. She sits at the front of the room on her phone the entire time and makes the one TA help everyone in the lab. Sometimes I would be sitting there for 10 minutes waiting for help and the rare time she would actually help me, she acted like I was bothering her. Very cranky and unapproachable.

If you want to get a good grade.... drop that expectation. Put in loads of effort, always do well in school because I put in the effort and I still did poor in her class. She is the hardest marker I've ever had. Would never take again. She seems to totally loathe her job and its reflected in her teaching performance. Don't take her class.

I loathed Jennifer. I took Math 2209 distance with her, and I found it to be difficult and boring. She acts like she doesn't care about her students, or whether or not they understand the material. She piles on the coursework like you would not believe. I wouldn't recommend Jennifer under any circumstances. The Mount has much better instructors.

Had Jennifer twice and didn't enjoy her either time. She is unfriendly, and is a tough grader. Her voice is boring and teaching skills are lacking. She relies way to much on her TAs - hardly ever helps students herself. I wouldn't take her class or lab if you can avoid it. She makes an already hard course even more difficult.

Jennifer was a great instructor for lab - I found that I preferred to go to her to get my questions answered about the lab assignments as she was more clear and concise then the lab assistant. Attendance is a must if you want a good grade and bring current edition of lab book - you will need it!

Not very helpful at all and the worst grader I have experienced. She will deduct marks if you write too much or too little in your statements. Be prepared to not receive a high mark in this class. The final exam is MUCH harder than the midterm and the assignments and labs throughout the course.

Jennifer has a monotone voice...which is why some people probably find her boring. I find Stats hard... and she was always very available to help me with my long list of questions. She was a fair marker and was very understanding. She sees when her students are trying. I'm glad she was my teacher.

I know students in the class that could teach the course better than this prof. Got over 80% on the midterm and as good on the final but still haven't passed one of the compulsory quizes which you need a 100% to pass. Its a joke. Take the course from a different school because it looks like Thornton is going to be teaching this course for a while.

Doesn't seem to know the material. Makes a lot of mistakes and then won't admit when she's wrong until the entire class threatens action with the math chair, then she blames it on a misunderstanding. She's not qualified to teach this course and shouldn't be. Even other profs have complained about her to. Take the class from Dr. Lee when she returns

Is very helpful if you ask her a question. Seems to be friendly when greeted with a friendly smile. Is very adapt in her field to explain problems. Depends basically on how hard you find math.
