I love Jenny. She is great and made the class very interactive-I loved how she brought in things to show us & give us. She brought in art pieces from her home and handed out cool "art" coins for us to keep. She's very wise and very wonderful. The peer-review & weekly assignments help students really improve their writing!

continuing on my other rating below, the class is honestly worthwhile and the most amusing philosophy class I've had so far. she's very humorous (which you might not see at first), but she's honestly a great teacher and person. 2 peer review (5% each) 10% participation 20% paper 1 30% paper 2, weekly papers (6) 5% each so 30% total

As a person, she is very funny and an enjoyable person. it felt more like an English class than philosophy Her grading is very off though. I got a lower mark for a weekly paper which I knew I didn't deserve and when I went to her to ask about it she said that she mustve been feeling harsh that day which made me wonder how many "harsh" days she has

Ehh, she's okay. I wish her grading was more consistent. All As at first and then she suddenly changed strategies and started trying to lower the average by giving people low marks with little feedback. However, great powerpoints, very clear. Readings were unnecessary, attendance wasn't needed. Mostly easy class, not a communicative prof.

The "epitome of fairness" she is not, but nevertheless a decent person and an alright teacher. The course teaches standard philosophical theories on morality. The course does not require much philosophical input from the student.

The epitome of fairness. A fair and balanced, reasonable, charismatic, and intelligent woman. She is rightly the head of the department. One of two best representatives of the department, really. She always replies to emails as promptly as possible and assists with concerns thoughtfully. Extremely fair marker. Lectures well. Readings are required.

This was the first time that she had taught this class, so not bad. The notes are posted online, however, not for a week or so. She follows the marking criteria for the phil department pretty spot on. The peer review is an easy grade booster and quite helpful too.

be forewarned bf you take it for enjoyablilty. it's not philosphizing or questioning or outside the box.(prob too time consuming) it's memorizing philosophers and their theories. It's helpful. It did do me good. But wasn't quite worth it considering I took it for the enjoyability aspect. worthwhile to get advice from someone who's taken it.

Terrible prof, taught like she knew the only answer and the only interpretation. If you got the question wrong, it was likely you just didn't read it like she did. Poor tests, poor topics, poor review, the only benefit was that this was an easier class, and I would not recommend it to anyone looking to take or learn philosophy.

She's quite knowlegeable. However, she played "favorites". Also, since her handwriting is not legible, her comments on papers are/were useless.

A very interesting class, with a hilarious prof. I really admired her sense of humour. The assignments/tests were relatively easy, but you just have to make sure to give her what she wants to hear--lots of definitions without worrying too much about the complications of the theories. Very smart, and very eccentric.

Really interesting lecturer. Funny. All take home essays only, even the final. And it's really helpful to go talk to her or the TA before handing in the essays. I didn't know anything about this course before I went into the class and came out interested about healthcare ethics.

This one's a real dame and a classy dresser. The material's easy enough to understand, just make sure that you do your readings and stay awake in class. Make sure that you're able to compare and contrast the theories of the philosophers, as she loves these sort of questions on exams.

Nice person, too busy during office hours (makes it seem like you're bothering her), would have been nice to have had a textbook to refer to for concepts (only had readings, not explanations). Reasonable marker.
