This class was such a bore for me as a creative writing major. Her oversimplified approach to literature is reminiscent of junior high school language arts. Not for English majors; definitely not for writers. She's nice, eager and helpful, but there's no challenge and nothing remarkable or compelling about any of the points she makes.

i didnt like this class. she's real sweet and fair and all, but i didnt enjoy the class or like the way she went about poetry. very pandering and didactic. not my cupatea. kinda...kindergarten-teacher-like. i was bored/uninterested. this class is not for those wanting a good lit class. easy, though.

Ms. Young is fantastic - she really tries to connect with her students. She never shoots down an idea without consideration, respects opinions and knew our names really quickly. She obviously knows her stuff. It's not a very difficult course in the end, and it can be fun, especially if you like poem
