While Jenny is very nice, she is very unclear. She does not assign readings and expects you to finish novels of 700+ pages within a week when you are taking 4 other courses. She does not give information about quizzes and often forgets to post assignments with enough time for you to do them properly. She is a hard marker and gives little feedback

it's pretty clear that Jenny enjoyed the content that she was teaching us, and it was lovely to hear about it in the British accent. But - Jenny could be a bit dry at times, and isn't the best motivator. Her tests are fair, though, and neither the readings or the lectures were too information heavy.

Jenny is a nice person. She is very helpful, sometimes even too helpful. She'll practically do your research for you if you tell her that you don't know what you are doing. Not a very interesting class, she pauses too long on things that can be sped up, but she's a friendly person.

I noticed that most of Jenny's detractors here are 100-level students... maybe that says something. Jenny could benefit from modernizing her reading lists (Gertrude Stein, are you kidding me??) and engaging the class in more interesting discussions. She is smart and contemporary, however, good lady.

Jenny was very organized, and she tried to impart the necessity of organization to the students. Her marking scheme may have appeared difficult, but I left the class with better knowledge about the mechanics of writing. In my opinion, her teaching method for this particular course was fantastic!

Enjoyed her class. Appreciate that she respects the underdog's opinion. She picks good works that are usually all themed together...but she is a rather hard marker but you can easily make up for lost marks on the quizes and presentation...
