Dr. Downey was a very interesting teacher, but he likes to ramble in class and is hard of hearing. He rarely teaches what you need to know for the tests. So, you mostly read the book for the all the tests, and you would do fine.

Dr. D is a great teacher and mentor! For the students who don't like him, remember we ARE in college, we shouldn't have to be bottle fed to learn. He has an open door policy, you need help, ask! One of the best professors at South!

His class was not all that bad he is very monotone but that is because he is 75% deaf in one ear and 45% in the other, he does not make the class easy but if you are in the psychology field noting is easy.

No opportunity for extra points but will grade on a curve. Will NOT give your test back to review your wrong answers. What if they were right? Average grade is a 67 (per his class speech). The online test had wrong answers according to the book. Lectures are boring and were straight out of the book.

Worst Professor ever.Seems like it is an incovenience to even be in class. Goes pretty much page by page through the book and never reviews. Tests are horrible they must be from some computer generated test banks. Learned nothing interesting that I had not already covered in Highschool psych.

Terrible. Doesn't teach, just reads the bold words and charts in the book. I reccomend you buy the study guide book and read every chapter. However, the way he makes his tests out, it won't help. Is not very helpful.
