This can be a very easy class if you pay attention to his lessons, and take notes. Although the way he teaches is not very clear, he goes over the lessons more than once and offers easy extra credit/bonus points. He is one of the best Math professors you can ever have! My semester average was 106.5!

Professor Bernstein has lost his teaching skills. I have read awesome reviews about him which is the reason I chose him for statistics, however that was 3 years ago. Since then he has retired and returned in 2013 to teach my statistics class. He is not clear and does not explain well. I would say he lost his touch.

Definitely recommended. He is very patient because everyone learns at a different speed. He will explain a problem over and over until you get the concept. Like everyone said do your hw and you'll be fine by the time the tests come around.

Great teacher. He is very relaxed and will do all he can to give extra points for those who stuggle with test. Just do the homework and go up to the board. Just don't let your cellphone ring in his class. He doesnt like that :)

Prof. Bernstein is a nice guy, but his handwriting is terrible and you'll be hard pressed to really understand what the point of statistics is if you're only exposed to it through his class. Don't expect to learn how to use statistical software to perform any of the calculations you'll learn, either. His style is very rote and mechanical.

He's an awesome, awesome teacher! Goes fast but explains everything about subject so well. DO YOUR HOMEWORK. It is the only way to ace his class. Is also very forgiving, but don't take him for granted or you'll only play yourself. Gives extra cred easily!
